tag brush logo



For my tag brush logos I wanted to use pastel colors in order to draw one's eye to it. I also just used a single splatter for the background because I wanted the design to stay fairly simple. My favorite is probably blue, just because I think it looks the cleanest. I tried the red, one of the original colors for my logo, but it looked messy with the splatter.

Photoshop 2 Homework

  I think this photo would be difficult to photoshop myself into because the lighting is very particular, and would need lots of editing to get the original, grainy, old-film coloring. Additionally, I'm assuming that Kirby had to photoshop himself onto the body of someone else sitting in that chair, which seems difficult. I thought this photo was pretty neat, and it doesn't seem to difficult to create. For y sorority, I made a Vogue-style magazine that was the same concept. I thought these photos were pretty funny, but I also think it was a really great showcase of James' photoshop skills. The woman's dress and hands weren't originally visible in the photo, but he made the photoshopped version look seamless. I've created something similar to this before, so I think this editing would be possible for me. I like the concept of creating nature where it's sparse, so this idea really interests and inspires me.

Calligram

  I choose a pencil for my calligram because my aspirational career paths and hobbies center around writing. I use it to express myself creatively, connect with others, and share my ideas. I also thought it was fitting because the calligram consisted of a note to my future self. To create this design. I put an image of a pencil as the background, and traced it with shapes and lines. Then I used the pen tool to place the text on the lines and in the shapes. It was fairly simple to create. Letter to future self: Dear Future Self, I hope I’ve accomplished everything I set out to do and are truly happy. I’m excited to see what I will do and where life takes me. Ideally, I’d like to spend a few years in Tampa after graduation, and maybe live in a few different cities afterwards. I’m going to be super surprised and disappointed if I end up back in the Northeast. In twenty years, I hope to have a few kids and a loving husband, as well as a nice house in an interesting area. BW to Color

For my BW to color project, I wanted to use a lot of bright colors and pastels to fill in my photo. I liked using odd colors like purple and green for my hair because I thought it would look very out-of-the-box and cooler. The hair was the most difficult part to color in because it was windy that day and I had a lot of flyaways I needed to capture. Something I think I could've done a little better on is the background – If I had more time I would've chosen to make all of the flowers different colors.
